18 months!

Wow, I know I say this every month, but Olivia is growing up so fast! Most of the time she is a happy camper--she loves to play with blocks and her beads, push the swiffer around, read books ("Alice the Fairy" is a current favorite), and still takes two one hour naps a day. She talks all of the time and asks "What's that?" approximately one million times a day. That's ok--I realize that the world is all new and interesting to her. She's equally interested in the big things: rain, busses, trees, and the little things: bees, dirt, bubbles. Lately, if a funky song comes on the iPod, she'll take get both Chris and me to stand up and do her "turn around" dance that consists of turning around in circles while trying to snap her fingers.

But with all of this joy, she does get frustrated often and doesn't take kindly to "no." As in, no, we're not going to watch Elmo again. No, you can't run into the street.

I read that toddlers have a meltdown every 20 minutes, but it seems like she recovers quickly and is back to her nice litle self very quickly. And her nice little self is very sweet. She's incredibly loving and likes to play with my hair and loves to get hugs and kisses from her parents.

It's a wonderful time. (This is a video from yesterday.)
